Volunteer at the Columbia Street Farm
We welcome drop-in farm volunteers weekly on Saturdays from 10am-1pm from April to November. Come dressed for the weather and ready to get dirty! Closed toed shoes are a must. Children (under 14) are welcome during these sessions so long as they are accompanied by an adult. Sign up for the Farms newsletter to hear the latest on everything Red Hook Farms! For all NYC Compost Project volunteer inquiries, please check the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s page, email email@example.com or call (718) 623-7290.
Team Volunteer Days
We welcome groups and corporate teams for meaningful and productive volunteer opportunities. We are able to host groups of 10-25 people to tackle a variety of tasks – turning windrows, pulling weeds and harvesting all while getting dirty in our outdoor classroom! If your group has experience with construction, that’s a major plus. We generally request a donation to support staff time and materials. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a session on the Farms today.
