School Visits
Farm-Based Learning is an opportunity for children and youth in Red Hook to safely connect to the outdoors with seasonal themes that explore how we grow food in an urban environment. Our FBL sessions include an exploration tour of the Columbia Street Farm plus some age-appropriate farm tasks. Classes get to see what’s growing, check on the chickens, and experience the seasons through the lens of an urban farmer.
At this time the farm is closed for the winter but please check back in the spring if you’re interested in visiting with your class! You may submit your contact info using this form if you would like to receive a notification email from us once registration is open. For any additional questions – please reach out to farms@rhicenter.org with the subject “FBL”. Please note at this time we are centering Red Hook based schools & parents within our RHI community. Thank you!
